Standard Refund Policy – Rural Escapes

At Rural Escapes, we recognize that circumstances may change, and we aim to be as accommodating as possible. Please review our standard refund policy below for clarity and transparency. Please be aware that certain tours may operate under different policies, which will be clearly indicated on the specific tour page.

Refund Schedule:

  1. Same-day cancellation: No refund
    Cancellations made on the day of your scheduled tour are not eligible for refunds. We appreciate your understanding as resources and services are arranged in advance.
  2. Day-before cancellation: 50% refund
    If you cancel your reservation one day before the tour date, you’ll receive a 50% refund of the total tour fee, reflecting our commitment to fairness while acknowledging our advance preparations.
  3. 7-day advance cancellation: 70% refund
    Cancellations made up to 7 days before the tour date qualify for a 70% refund of the total tour fee.
  4. 20-day advance cancellation: 80% refund
    Cancellations made 20 days before the tour start date (10 days for day trips) will receive an 80% refund, allowing us time to make necessary adjustments while providing you flexibility.
  5. 21+ days advance cancellation: 100% refund
    We appreciate your commitment to Rural Escapes. Cancellations made 21 days or more before the scheduled tour date qualify for a full refund.

Exceptions

Rural Escapes reserves the right to modify tour itineraries or cancel tours under exceptional circumstances including emergencies, civil unrest, travel service suspensions, government orders, or uncontrollable factors such as severe weather or natural disasters. We commit to prompt communication in such situations and will offer appropriate refunds when necessary.

Health Insurance

As a registered travel agency, we maintain the legally required basic health insurance coverage for all our services. However, we strongly urge all guests to obtain their own comprehensive travel health insurance for complete protection.

Our standard insurance provides only minimal coverage as mandated by regulations. While this fulfills legal requirements, it may not adequately address:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Hospitalization needs
  • Medical evacuation services
  • Repatriation requirements
  • Unexpected medical treatments
  • Trip cancellations due to health issues

By securing personal travel health insurance, you ensure peace of mind and financial protection tailored to your specific health needs and travel plans.

Rural Escapes cannot assume responsibility for medical expenses or complications beyond our legally required basic insurance coverage.

Guests traveling without additional personal health insurance do so entirely at their own risk.
